Flowered medallions

MONA is a lattice of flowered medallions in green, orange and gold, hand-drawn in the spirit of antique tiles. Opened with a flick, the fan brings an elegant breath of fresh air, in town or on the beach; closed, it slips into your bag and follows you all summer.

To keep it for years

  • It is not machine-washable: dust the leaf with a soft cloth.
  • Store it closed, flat, away from damp and direct sunlight.
  • A stain? Dab with lukewarm water without rubbing, then let it dry open.
  • Always open it along the pleats, with a flick of the wrist.

How big is the fan?

Closed, it measures 23 cm; open, it spans 42 cm: the standard size of the traditional Spanish fan, which fits in a handbag.

Is it sturdy?

Yes: the cotton fabric is stiffened before being pleated, then glued onto a wooden frame. It holds up far better than a paper fan or a promotional fan.

Once upon a time, there was a desire to create…

It all began in 2013 with the meeting of two curious souls, Karine and Patrick, and the thirst for discovery they bring home from every journey. Since then, every pattern has been drawn by hand, patiently, like a page in a sketchbook: the reflection of an emotion, a memory or a moment of beauty glimpsed along the way.

We create at the crossroads of Mediterranean influences, between Occitanie, Provence, Spain and northern Italy. That is where our creations take shape: textiles sewn in Milan, hand fans made in Spain, trays made in France, in often family-run workshops that share our love of beautiful, well-made things.
